DETAILED itinerary

Day 1: Arrival & Trek Introduction – Narus Valley Arrive at Narus Valley, the gateway to Kidepo Valley National Park. Meet your ranger guide for orientation, safety briefing, and a review of the hiking itinerary. Begin your first short hike across gentle savannah, spotting giraffes, zebras, and antelope. Camp in a scenic site within the park under the stars.
Trekking Time: 3–5 hours
Highlights: Savannah plains, wildlife viewing, sunset over the Narus Hills
Accommodation: Tented camp or designated wilderness campsite
Meals: Dinner

  Day 2: Wilderness Trek – Mountains & Valleys Embark on a full-day trek through rolling hills, forested mountains, and river valleys. Spot eland, oribi, warthogs, and diverse bird species. The trail offers panoramic views of the park’s savannah mosaic and the distant peaks bordering South Sudan. Engage with local guides to learn about indigenous flora, wildlife tracking, and Karamojong culture along the route.
Trekking Time: 6–8 hours
Highlights: Mountain vistas, wildlife encounters, birdwatching, traditional community insights
Accommodation: Wilderness campsite or park lodge

  Day 3: Trek Conclusion & Departure On the final day, continue through scenic trails back toward the Narus Valley or Kidepo lodge area. Optional short walks or wildlife viewing stops en route. Transfer to park entrance for departure or onward travel.
