Trekking Timmy was founded in March 2015 by renowned travel maverick and nature enthusiast, Timothy Kintu. Born and bred in Kampala, Uganda, he is a native of East Africa who traded the sleek suits of the banking profession for the travel guide’s khaki to convert his passion for cars and travels into a world-class safari enterprise.

Timothy Kintu is no rookie to this terrain. Already a regular traveller himself with more than 20 years of experience in the tour and travel sector. He has successfully undertaken several East African tours and frequently did freelance guiding for friends, colleagues, and international tour companies to date.

It is from these trips that Timothy got inspired to start Trekking Timmy, with the ambition to build it into a user experience-centred, East African, premium travel company and one of the industry’s leading innovators.
