Details

Queen Elizabeth National Park is a mixture of African sprawling Savannah and woodland vegetation, shady humid forests, sparkling lakes, and fertile wetlands nestled between the Rwenzori Mountains.

It is sandwiched between a number of crater lakes with panoramic views of the Kazinga Channel, lined with hippos, buffalos, and elephants and the endless Ishasha plains where fig trees hide lions ready to pounce on unsuspecting Kobs among other wildlife attractions with over 600 bird species. You will enjoy a superlative game viewing as you roam in the park for a game drive.

We will set off early morning, with our first stop at the equator, take photos, check out the craft shops then proceed to Mbarara where we shall have our lunch at the Igongo museum. Hop back in the car for our last stretch to the national park; arrive in time for the boat cruise on the Kazinga channel that joins the two lakes, George and Edward. You will get close to hippos, buffaloes, and elephants also several bird species.
On day two, with our packed lunch we will go for our early morning safari drive as we head to Kasenyi fishing village for a community encounter, visit Katwe Salt Lake, and then transfer to Kampala through Kasese and Fort Portal arriving late afternoon.
