Overview: The Sasa Trail on Mount Elgon offers a challenging and scenic route to the summit of Wagagai Peak (4,321 meters). This trek is ideal for those looking to experience the dramatic landscapes and cultural heritage of the Elgon region. The trek is steep and requires a good level of fitness, but the rewards include stunning views, unique flora, and the largest caldera in Africa.  

Daily Itinerary:

• Day 1: Arrival in Budadiri, preparation, and overnight stay.
• Day 2: Trek to Sasa River Camp via the Mudange Cliffs.
• Day 3: Summit Wagagai Peak and descend to Mude Cave Camp.
• Day 4: Descend to the trailhead and depart.
