10 Days Culture & wildlife

Uganda is a small country but densely populated with people from various dialects with in the country and having over 56 tribes. This is the only country where you find one major district as a capital and several other independent districts surrounding it, each with people of different tribes, speaking different languages and therefore have different cultures. In the early times before the coming of missionaries in 1987, Uganda was divided into kingdoms and chiefdoms  that included the Buganda kingdom (biggest and dominant of all), Bunyoro ,  Ankole and Busoga  all which were culturally active and these cultures still prevail till to date. When it comes to culture, Uganda offers you its best starting with cultural and heritage sites,  palaces, art and craft, foods, dress codes, cultural dances, initiation ceremonies, among others and not forgetting the Uganda museum where cultural and archeological remains are preserved.

On the other hand Uganda ranked as an excellent birding destination and a birding paradise in Africa with over 1069 species of bird, harboring 50% of Africa’s birds and about 10% of the birds in the whole word; it is also an interesting safari destination for large game viewing. It has over 340 mammals of all sizes ranging from large animals like elephants, lions, buffaloes, leopards to small animals like rats, bats and shrews among others.  There also reptiles like snakes, crocodiles, lizards, chameleons just to mention a few. While in Uganda you stand a chance to have a life time experience with the primates especially the mountain gorillas and the chimpanzees. With all the above highlights, Uganda has a lot to offer to its tourist ranging from culture to wildlife that makes them have a thrilling experience and make return visits.
